Model 'S', 1-1/2 to 10HP

Due to the fact the Novo Company did the numbers game with their HP ratings while they were in production, we'll have to ask you some questions if you have a 1, 2-1/2, 3-1/2, or 5HP. Our parts book shows the 1-1/2, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, & 10HP. Add 1/2HP and we believe the first group is the same as the 1-1/2 to 6HP with the exception of the 2HP. Sound like we're confused? We have a lot of collective experience here at Hit & Miss, but we've been left shaking our heads more than once when we thought we had a good grip on something only to be proven wrong. The Novo we're refering to in this parts list is the standard "S" with battery and coil ignition, either hit & miss or throttle governed. The two mags used on Novo engines were Bosch and the Wico "EK". We do list "EK" mag parts in our catalog and may have brackets and trip assemblies for this engine. Now if you have a Novo that needs a Wico "EK" don't just go and buy any "EK" and expect it to fit. The reason for this is the trip roller on the bottom of the mag is turned 90° and it requires some experience to modify a standard mag to fit correctly. We can provide this service and also rebuild your mag if necessary. Yes, we do have used parts available as well as some NOS parts, having been fortunate to buy the remaining parts from an original dealership in Indiana.
